Sourcing
Primary and authoritative sources are preferred, including government data, public records, regulators, local planning documents and original filings. Secondary reporting is attributed and used for context.
Accuracy
Statistics should identify the source, date, geography and metric. Median sale price, listing price and estimated home value must not be presented as interchangeable.
Independence
Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners do not approve or determine editorial conclusions. Commercial relationships are labeled clearly.
Use of automation
Tools may assist with transcription, organization, translation or production, but published claims and conclusions remain subject to human reporting, verification and editing.
Conflicts and corrections
Relevant conflicts should be disclosed. Material errors are corrected promptly under the Corrections Policy.
